An oasis in the Central Hills ...

Walk around Merlo, San Luis, always an invitation to the pleasure of trekking. Ascend the abrupt slopes of the Sierra de los Comechingones, which divided the provinces of San Luis and Cordoba and the same as, a little further north, home to the mythical Cerro Champaquí. Reaching the small and imperceptible summit of Cerro de las Ovejas, the highest in the province Puntana. Transit through the plains of the mountains, at 2000 meters above sea level and lost to the old town of "Pueblo Escondido". Descend with ropes on the walls of over 60 meters next to the magical Salto del Tigre.

3 days of adventure, with backpack and camping in the middle of the mountains, invite illusion.

Schedule (trekking): What we present here is the planned route for the crossing, but the exact route, the duration of each stage of travel and choice of alternative routes are subject to several factors such as weather conditions and group assessment by guides.

Day 2: We arrive at Merlo, San Luis. We moved by vehicle to the base of the mountains, after making the last shopping. Preparation of equipment and went for a walk up the hill. The ascent is continuous and exhausting, but this is only the start to the extraordinary views of the entire valley. Lunch on the way. We passed a cross view point and continue the ascent to the provincial boundary. We look for a campsite and we assembled, next to a stream. Snack and mate, walked to the summit of the Cerro de las Ovejas (Hill of the Sheep), the highest in the province of San Luis, later we will return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Early breakfast. We have to breaking camp to continue the hike, Now for the upper plains of the mountains. This day, the trek will take us to Pueblo Escondido, a group of buildings that housed miners twentieth century when work with the Tungsten (for lamps) was relevant. Lunch on the way. Upon arrival, will look for a place to set up camp. Afternoon Tea and free to meet. Dinner. The idea is to make a night at Cerro Aspero rise over 2100 meters, a wonderful experience. Return and overnight.

Day 4: Breakfast. We break camp. The path takes us to the great Salto del Tigre (Tiger Leaping) a drop of water more than 50 meters. There we will stay to enjoy the place and in the process, for the more seasoned enthusiasts, we propose a descent with ropes by the waterfall (rappel). After lunch we will continue with the hike to the top of the mountain road, where we found the vehicle to descend to Merlo and bus terminal. End of program.
